pink mushroom

I'm soooo frustrated with this dumb baby sweater!! I got the back panel done, and moved on to the front left panel and can't for the life of me figure out how to knit it! It's driving me craaaaaaazy. So I gave up on that for awhile and now I'm working on making more of my clay beads :) I REALLY should be doing laundry instead, but oh well (heehee) it'll just have to wait.

I did indeed finish my purse. I found better handles that match the yarn perfectly. Initially I wanted to line it with pink fabric since my new favorite colors are pink and brown, but I couldn't find the right shade so I defaulted to my ever-so-great GREEN! yay. I decided that I can't actually use the purse though because it's so fragile. If I put anything more than my keys in it, it will stretch and look icky. My sister loved it so much that she asked me to make one for her too "exactly the same as yours".

Since the purse, I've also made a few pairs of booties that I will give my sister for my future neice or nephew. I made my mom a scarf (boring except she picked out a really really fuzzy yarn unlike any that I've knit with in the past so that was interesting to knit with a new type of yarn). I've also started working on my first ever sweater. I thought I'd start out small so I'm making a little baby cardigan (again for my sister's baby). It's been very frustrating so far (I've even started over like 4 times because I was unhappy with the way it was looking) but I'm hoping that it gets better.

That's right, my husband and I are coordinating a punk rock craft show this summer! It's going to be awesome. Stay tuned for further details (or just check out the website)
