Secrets, Surprises and Sensational Stories!

We've had quite the last couple of weeks, and the next couple of weeks will definitely be quite as well. Next Thursday we'll be able to reveal our super-excellent-exciting secret we've been brewing up for the past week.

In other news: Andy's last day at his job was yesterday and he doesn't start his new one until Wednesday. Slacker! (too bad he doesn't get PAID for any of these days off). I have him doing laundry and cleaning today; we'll see how that pans out when I get home tonight. And I expect dinner to be on the table when I walk in the door after a "hard" day's work. And bake me a pie while you're at it for cryin' out loud!

Spring is Sprunged

Since the snow melted a couple weeks ago we've been finding treasures in our yard & dirt driveway. At first it was just small things; my lost set of spare car keys, a fork, a set of fancy animal shaped paper clips, a kitchen towel....but over the weekend Andy found the best treasure yet; a jawbone! We're still trying to figure out what kind of animal it came from, but it's too big to be a rabbit or squirrel or bird. It actually looks more like a cat jawbone to me than anything else. We'll have to do some more research and maybe I'll even post a photo.

On Saturday we went to the MN RollerGirls "season finale". The first half we stood rinkside and got a good close-up view of the action, but for the second half we decided to go up to the balcony. From there we got a better veiw of what was actually happening since we were able to see the whole rink. It was fun, but I don't think I'd want to go to every bout; maybe once a year. We ended up walking home from the X-cel center after; it's about a 3 mile stroll. Good thing the weather held out for us. It could have been a miserable walk.

We got to see the baby again on Sunday which was wonderful. She slept most of the afternoon even though she was continually being passed around :) She's definitely a sweetheart and rarely cries!

It's Baby Time

My sister called me about an hour ago. They're on the way to the hospital to have the baby. Today is even her due date too. AND it's also our other sister's birthday. Big day. How often does the baby come on its actual due date? Well, this one still may not, but for my sister's sake I hope it does!

After work we'll be looking at a house that we tried to look at yesterday (long story) and then maybe it'll be onto the hospital. Oh, and Andy's due to get a formal job offer this afternoon too.

Stravaganza Vendors are up!

Check out the vendor line-up at www.craftstravaganza.com It's going to be the best Craftstravaganza ever. I'm working on a new splash page so hopefully that'll be up sometime today or tomorrow.

We spent all weekend house-hunting. It was fun at first, but now it's just frustrating. I think part of the problem is that we don't (or didn't) have our own realtor. That problem has been solved so hopefully we'll be buying our first house in the next couple of months. One house we looked at last week was absolutely ideal, but the yard and off-street parking (or lack thereof) were less than ideal. Saturday we looked at a house that was in a great neighborhood, and had a stellar backyard/garage, but the house was sub-par. If only we could put the house from #1 on the lot of #2 we'd be set.

I'm confident that we'll find the house sooner rather than later. I'm just ready to move NOW!!

The day of the devil is coming

On my way into work this morning they were talking about a lady who was due to have her baby on 06/06/06. They (the radio host people) thought she was crazy to want to be induced...just in case... I can say that I don't disagree with her. I don't consider myself to be superstitous, but I don't think that I'd want to have my baby on the day of the devil. I wonder what that day will be like. I bet there will be fire coming up from the ground and it will rain blood and the sky & grass will turn red and everyone will grow horns and pointy tails. Maybe I'll call in sick that day.
