Best Husband Ever

Andy knew that I was having a sad night Monday and yesterday, so he ordered me a lovely necklace that he knew I had my eye on (I never even told him I wanted it, but he noticed that I saved the link). I mentioned to him this morning that there was this necklace that I really wanted, and he told me "no, no, you have plenty of necklaces". I was sad. But as I was getting ready for work, he told me that he had a surprise for me but didn't want to ruin it. Since it is one of a kind and he figured I'd look again today and notice that someone had purchased it, he fessed up that he had already ordered it for me yesterday afternoon! I can't wait for it to come.

A Kwik Trip

A week ago Saturday Andy's dad flew us to Waukesha WI to visit Matt & Jenny. We left the house around 7:45 and were in the air by 8:30 maybe? I don't really remember. But it took about 1:45 to get there, and it was a very nice, smooth ride.

Taking off....Andy was Bob's co-pilot.This is right around Red Wing
WaukeshaThe ride home was very bumpy, but we made it--barely!

tickety-tock, no need for a clock

Ever since we moved into our house, we have no reason to have clocks. The surrounding dogs keep time just as well. In the morning, without fail, Lola wakes us up between 6 & 6:30. Sometimes earlier; on those days we hit the snooze button by saying drearily "Lola, go back to bed". That normally shuts her up for about a 1/2 an hour or so.

We know that it's about time to head to bed when the neighbor lets her dogs out and they bark and bark and bark and bark. It's like clockwork, every night, without fail (unless, of course, said neighbor is out of town; we always know when that is because we don't hear the damn dogs barking all the damn time).

Kum By Ah

Because I'm so damn lazy when it comes to this stuff, I just now got photos from the past few weeks uploaded. If you live in the area, you know we got pretty hard with 2 blizzards in a week. As I was uploading the photos I took of the damage, I realized that I had very similar ones that I'd taken last summer. I thought it would be oh so much fun to compare them. So for you viewing pleasure, I give you the following. Gosh I'm lame.

ps I took the snowy ones after one of our late-night shoveling sessions, that's why they're funny colored. With your help, perhaps we can all talk my husband into letting me buy that new camera I want.

Here's some more shoddy shotsI also finally got around to taking photos of some other stuff I've been working on. I made some wall hangings for our bedroom, a new blankie for Lola's bed that (gasp) actually matches the room, and around 100 of these little felt bags to give out at the SPC in April.
