Anyone else remember...

MAPLE TOWN ANIMALS???

I don't know why I thought of these little guys, but my sisters and I used to love to play with them when we were little. One Christmas our ex-step-aunt sent us a huge box of families, furniture and houses. We were ecstatic about them because we rarely got new toys that weren't homemade. I think my parents might still have them in the basement. I'm totally going to dig around in there when I go out there this weekend.

This is some of what we had: the bunny, mouse, raccoon & bear families....We also had most of the house, all of the school, and some of the log cabin furniture to go with one of the kitchens, 2 of the living rooms and 3 or 4 of the bedrooms. My absolute favorite thing of the set was the fireplace. It had a little lightbulb inside it that when you flipped the switch, it lit up behind the clear "logs".
Oh, to be a child again.......

...as we welcome a new member of our family...

After much begging and pleading, I finally got my Nikon D80 last Friday. Andy and I love love LOVE it!!!
I've had my eye on this baby for a long long time, and let me tell you, nagging works! If you're in the market for a digital SLR and have a couple g's laying around, I highly recommend this beauty.
