Wintertime

Wintertime is my lametime. I don't enjoy it very much, and I'm looking forward to Spring like I never have before!

It just can't come soon enough...but we did get a glimpse of it last week--a few days of 40 degree weather, it felt like Heaven! We were even able to go for walks. Walks! It was really amazing to see the change in everyones attitudes, especially Natalies. She was so very happy to be outside and it put her in the best mood.

We're very lucky to have had that weather because we're in the midst of a blizzard. I think it was God's way of reminding us that Spring will come, and winter will end...just not yet.

So what have we been up to this winter? Not a whole lot. I've been trying to keep us busy with activities during the week; Mondays Natalie and I go to Kindermusik or "Musnik School" as she calls it. Every other Tuesday, opposite Wednesday and every Thursday I have my sister's kids, which can get very interesting having 3 under the age of 3 to care for.

On our "free days" we like to go to the library and run other errands like Target, the bank, post office, etc. Sometimes we go visit Papa, or Auntie. Last week we visited Daddy at work which was fun too. Ideally we'd like to leave the house at least once a day, but that doesn't usually happen.

On days that we're stuck at home we fill our time with playing in clubhouses (we have three. three. tents (and a tunnel) set up in the bedroom), reading books, doing puzzles, coloring, playing with babies and oh so much more! This morning we made play doh out of cornstarch, baking soda and water.

The first day of Spring is March 21, which is one month from today. And since February is such a short month, that means only 27 days! There is an end in sight!!!
