pink mushroom

December 29, 2004

Apparently it has been a really long time since I have updated this thing. Just over one year, to be exact. Seems to me that a lot has happened since then, which it has. That's probably why it seems like so much has happened. Let's see here....

1. We ended up turning on the heat last winter, but it didn't make the Asian beetles or box elder bugs go away. The cold weather made them go away.

2. We had a Halloween party which was fun and there was a lot of people there which heated the house up quite nicely, along with Rainbow Brite, a fancy witch, Strawberry Shortcake's blue friend (I forget her name) as well as a bunch of other creative costumes, most of which I honestly don't know what they were supposed to be (myself included).

3. We found a mushroom growing in our bathtub. That was gross.

4. I finished school and amazingly I graduated. After the ceremony my family and boyfriend-at-the-time helped me move all my stuff home to mommy and daddy's house.

5. I got a new TV for Christmas along with a DVD player. I hooked it up in my bedroom with the original NES system.

6. I gave my then-boyfriend a chess set for Christmas and he gave me a coat and handmade purse/stuffed animal.

7. I needed some sort of a job, so I got out the yellow pages. I opened up to "employment" and found the phone number of a temp agency. There was a whole bunch of them to choose from, but this one had 4 locations all over the cities so my mommy said that I should call them. I made an appointment for early January and pretty soon it was early January. I went in and completed an application, took all their tests, filled out a bunch of paperwork and had an interview. I went home hoping they'd call me soon. A couple days went by and I hadn't heard from them. I went into a different agency to update my information because I had worked with them on my winter breaks from school in the past. When I got out of there, there was a message on my cell phone from the first place. I couldn't understand the woman's name, but she said they had something for me. So I called them back and she told me that they had an opportunity in their office for an administrative position and do I want it? I said yeah, and I started the following day.

8. About a month later, after searching for about 6 months, my then-boyfriend found a job, (not even a temp. one either). He had been doing temp work since graduating the previous August, so we were excited when he found the vest.

9. The day before Easter my then-boyfriend proposed and became my then-fiance.

10. I was supposed to go to Costa Rica for 5 weeks in the summer on a missions trip, but decided to get married instead. Selfish or not, it's what I did and I don't regret it one bit.

11. We got married.

12. Went on a honeymoon.

13. We're still married! 4 months later.....

that is what my life has been like over the past year.

maybe I won't wait another year to update again......
maybe I will wait another year to update again.....
who can say?

Hi, I'm the husband. Just wanted to point out that:
6. I am the one who made the purse/stuffed animal.
13. I think it will last at least another 4 months!
