smorgasbord

This past Sunday our baby girl was Baptized. She did so very well, every was asking "is she always this good!?". Well, yes. Most of the time. Except when she's tired. Or hungry. Or bored. Or hot. Or cold. Honestly, she's a really great baby for the most part, but of course she has her moments.

Anyways, my mom Natalie's gown and it turned out just perfectly.

And now our baby will get into Heaven. That's how it works, right? Right?

On an almost un-related topic, I thought I'd share a few things that we would not be able to live without.

Funny Farm Friends

Natalie loooooooooooves this playmat!! That little blue bird is the very first thing that she ever reached for and grabbed. When you pull on the hanging animals, the cow moves back and forth and it plays music. This thing has kept her happy for hours (not all at once, of course)!

Fisher-Price Rainforest Peek-a-Boo Leaves Mobile
We have this mobile in Ellie's crib. She loves to lay there and watch the little rainforest animals peek in and out between the leaves and listen to the classical music it plays. Out of all the baby contraptions we have that play music, this one is the best. It does not get on our nerves and it plays actual almost real-sounding music. When we lay her under it she gets the biggest smile on her face, it's just priceless. The only sad part is when the music stops and the animals stop moving. She definitely lets us know that it needs to be started again.

Beco

This was probably the best money I've spent on baby gear. The Beco soft sided carrier has been a life saver on numerous occassions! Natalie loves being cuddled up close next to me like she was for 9 months. When we're out and about and the stroller isn't logical, we just strap this bad boy on and we're on our way. She loves it so much, within a few minutes she falls asleep. When she's really fussy and nothing else works, we bust it out, slip her in and all is well in the world again.

My Breast Friend Nursing Pillow

This contraption wins the prize for best nursing pillow AND stupidest name. But really, it was my "best friend" for the first 2 months. When she was really tiny and nursing was so frustrating, I LOVED this pillow. I don't use it anymore now that she's bigger, but this thing made a very hard, frustating time a bit easier.

There are a few other things that I couldn't imagine living without, but I'll have to revisit the topic another day.

And did you know that one year ago today I found out I was pregnant?! It's true!!
