Worky-work-work!!!

Once every couple of months I get to work on a project that is actually fun & meaningful at work. Normally it's around trade show time, but this time it's creating 3 different concepts for Ritz Camera's inkjet paper re-design. Their current packaging is pretty hideous so basically anything that I'm able to come up with will be a HUGE improvement. I've already done 3 concepts for new headers (the big posterboard thing that goes on the top of the inkjet paper display in the stores) a couple months ago, and they're apparently still trying to decide which one they want to use. In the mean time I also made a lame sticker to go on all of the packaging. I should go to a Ritz store and see if they've started using the stickers yet--that would sure be fun!

Damn you, Subway!

I was getting all excited to go to my favorite place for lunch---until I ordered my sandwich--"6 inch veggie on wheat with cheddar cheese please"..."oh, sorry, we don't have cheddar cheese anymore, we replaced it with provolone". GRRRRRRRRR. That cheddar cheese is what made the sandwich so good in the first place (well, besides the extra extra pickles of course!). Ick. Normally I like provolone cheese on my sandwich, but not this time! Not sure if it was purely disappointment that I couldn't have my beloved cheddar or what the deal was, but it wasn't good. From now on it will be "6 inch veggie on wheat with NO cheese please"! Jerks. If anything, they shoulda gotten rid of that nasty WHITE american cheese--what's up with that anyways?

Oh, and one more thing--last week someone brought in a HUGE bucket of fresh picked home-grown raspberries (YUM!) I was going to take some home with me, but I didn't have anything to put them in. The next day I brought a container to put some in and take home, but the berries were no where to be seen...that is until I got to my desk to find out that a co-worker had taken the WHOLE bucket home and made 2 raspberry pies out of them--she brought one in and kept the other one to feed her family! The NERVE! I HATE pie! Especially fruit pies! Damn I'd rather have the fresh berries--not some gross pie!
