First firsts.
It seems like every day Ellie does something new. Here are just a few.
One day, about a month ago I put her under her under the sea play gym and went into the kitchen to do the dishes. About a minute later I hear her laughing (about the best sound in the world, by the way) and I come back into the living room to see that she had scooted herself about seven feet away from where I had plunked her down, and she had wedged herself back into a corner. She was so proud of herself. Since then she's been on the move.
Then, the first weekend in January Andy put Natalie's high chair together and we sat her in it for the first time. She looked so small in it! We also gave her bananas for the first time, which she loved!
And this was her first time...umm...well, it wasn't her first time doing anything, but it's too cute not to include!
And this was her first time scooting herself under this shelf of baskets. I had cleaned it out and moved it out into the family room so that we can get rid of it, and she scooted herself from her play area into the shelf! She even pushed out the bottom two baskets to make room for her tiny body. I rescued her right after I took this photo.
Lola and the baby are BFF's. Lola will come over and plunk herself right next to, or even ON the baby. Ellie will kick her in the face, pull on her ears and tail, try to gouge her eyes out, but Lola just takes it. She's grateful she's getting attention, even if it is painful at times!
