IDiot!

So I'm driving to work this morning and pull up to a stoplight. I noticed that there was a cop car in the left turn lane...but it had its RIGHT turn signal on! I'm glad that the St. Paul po-po are smart, and on top of things!

And thus continues the countdown. We get through our party on Sunday and then just 6 more days until the SPC. Holy crap!

whew

We've been so busy the past couple of weeks and it's not going to let up anytime soon. This week and next week are the worst though. Sunday is our open house party for all our friends and family to see our new house so we've been getting the yard and house cleaned up & put together for that. We're going grocery shopping tonight to get food for the party, and tomorrow night we get to baby sit our baby neice! I'm very excited about that one, especially since Jess & Derek are bringing her to our house so we don't even have to drive anywhere. Always a plus in my book.

Next weekend is the CRAFTSTRAVAGANZA!!!! Holy crap I can't belive it's already here!!! We're doing last minute preparations for that, and let me tell you there are a TON of them! In addition to hosting the show, we're also going to be selling our stuff so we've been getting all our stuff ready for that too. Last night I finished putting my greeting cards together, and I even have a photo to share!

So now the qu3stion is how much would you pay for something like this? It's 8 blank cards & 8 envelopes. The cards are approx. 5.5" x 4" and are on a heavy cardstock. They're professionally printed and folded and have a glossy finish.

Tonight after the mart runs I have to work on getting my beads and buttons in order! And water the garden because we haven't gotten much rain lately and the grass in the front yard is brown :(

So Many Weddings!

It was a big wedding weekend for Andy and I. We had 2 to go to on Saturday; Andy's cousin and then my friend from school, Tina. We were able to make it to parts of both even though they were 2.5 hours' drive apart. The first one was in Roseville (not far from our house) and then the second one was up in Alexandria. We went to the ceremony and part of the "reception" of the first, and then made it up to Alex in time for Tina's reception. They were both good times. But 2 weddings in one day and no wedding cake! I guess the kids these days aren't doing wedding cakes anymore. The first reception just had desserts--cheesecake, strawberry angelfood cake and something else that I had that was NOT good, and then Tina had a brownie tree which was really cute. I've never seen a brownie tree before. I've seen a cupcake tree, but not so much a brownie tree. They were yummy!

So conviently after Tina's reception we were able to go to the lake home for the rest of the weekend. We got there and it was surprisingly very light out so we started a fire. It was a very interesting fire, becuase all the wood we could find was somewhat wet. We (mostly Andy) got it going pretty good, and then the next day we come to find out that the dry wood was in the shed. Go figure.

On our way back home from the lake we had to take a 3 hour detour to go to my parent's house to pick up Lola. We had some good pizza which really hit the spot since we hadn't really eaten in about a day.

All in all, it was a good weekend for all involved!

Congratulations to the 4 newlyweds--unfortunately the photos are so great, you'd think a photography major could take better snapshots ;)

Photo Overload

So I finally got around to taking some (many) photos of the yard last night.
My tomatoes and beans. Hopefully the beans will grab onto the fence and climb up it all nice.
Peonies finally started to bloom!

Backyard area. We think that mass of greens in the corner is raspberries!
I need to find a better place for all these potted flowers. I just planted them a few weeks ago; they'll fill out as the summer passes.

Pretty Pansies! I won them at the Mother-daughter banquet on Mother's day.

And the other 1/2 of my vegetable garden. Those purple and green things are chives. I also planted from seeds basil, onions, cucumbers and peas. The peas have really taken off but the cucumbers still have a way to go.
